Meet KJ and JJ, siblings and budding scientists aged 10 and 12. Not only are they honor scholars at their academic school, they also have a deep love for hands-on learning that sets them apart. Their remarkable attention to detail, focus, and comprehension make them ideal candidates for becoming future instructors and lab facilitators within the STEM on Wheels program. As they continue to develop their skills, KJ and JJ are learning to lead and inspire by example, ready to guide their peers through immersive STEM activities that ignite curiosity and drive discovery. Watch as these young prodigies transform their passion into purpose, paving the way for the next generation of STEM enthusiasts.

The smiles on JJ and KJ's faces in this picture are not just expressions of joy but symbols of accomplishment and understanding. Throughout the STEM program, these bright young minds delved into the intricacies of HVAC systems, learning through lectures and hands-on labs about the theory and operation of AC systems, the sequence of furnace operations, and the detailed roles of each component within an HVAC system. They also learned the environmentally responsible process of scrapping an HVAC system, with all proceeds going directly to them—a reward for their hard work and engagement. Wisely, they chose to invest their earnings in new suits for special occasions.
To measure the effectiveness of our training and ensure that all participants fully grasp the material, each student takes a comprehensive final exam at the end of the program. This assessment helps us fine-tune our teaching methods, ensuring that our programs are both effective and efficient. For JJ and KJ, their success in the program and on their exams highlights not just their grasp of the technical content but also their ability to apply their knowledge practically, proving the real-world impact of our STEM education efforts.
